Trips and Residentials
We believe that trips and residential experiences play an essential role in building friendships and creating lasting memories within our school community. These adventures bring joy and excitement while also fostering teamwork and personal growth.
Our pupils have treasured residential trips to Carlton Lodge in Thirsk in Year 5 and Peat Rigg in Year 6, where they engage in activities that challenge them and deepen their bonds with classmates. These experiences nurture a strong sense of belonging and enrich each child’s educational journey.

Each class has a thoughtfully planned schedule of enrichment activities, including trips to Leeds City Museum, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Nell Bank, Skelton Grange, Eureka, the farm, the local park, and the seaside.
We also welcome a variety of visitors who bring valuable insights to our curriculum, including representatives of other world faiths, theatre groups, the police and fire brigade, and the Leeds United Foundation.
Summer 2 2026
We had a very busy half term with our annual health week with a visit from Leeds Basketball, a MindMate workshop, Year 3's Egyptian Day, a trip to the seaside for Year 1 and Year 6's World War 2's museum.
Summer 1 2026
We had a brilliant Mary Day when Greg from Mark Mission came to see us all, a production of the Railway Children, Open the Book came to tell us the story of Jairus' daughter, Rock Steady Club began, Reception went on their first trip and Horsforth Climate Action came to see us for a special assembly.
Spring 2 2026
World Book Day with Northern Arts Factory, a trip to the National Holocauset Museum for Year 6, NSPCC workshops for all year groups, Easter workshops and a trip to Lotherton Hall for Year 2 to learn all about Florence Nightingale.
Spring 1 2026
Bikeability for Year 5 in the rain and snow! Our brilliant choir took part in Young Voices at Manchester Arena. The reading bus came to visit Reception. We had online safety workshops on safer internet day. The whole school had a visit from a Leeds Rhino!
Autumn 2 2025
A trip to Nell Bank for Year 4 linked to their geography and science work on rivers and states of matter. A brilliant pantomime for the whole school. A trip to the Royal Armouries in Year 5 linked to their learning about Anglo Saxons. A trip to see the Snowman with a live orchestra for Year 3 and the school choir attended the Horsforth Lights Switch on.
Autumn 1 2025
Year 2 went to Yorkshire Sculpture Park linked to their art unit on sculpture. Year 5 and Year 6 had a visit from the fire service to ensure they knew how to be safe. The whole school had their first pumpkin patch event and Y2-Y6 went on a retreat to Leeds Cathedral.
